What version of Grid2 are you using?

 r916-classic

What game client version (windows or mac) and language are you using ?

 windows, english

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  Selecting any different texture other than the default does nothing, after reload or redownload.
Did you try having Grid2 as the only enabled addon and everything else disabled?

  Yes

Was it working in a previous version? If yes, which was the last good one?

  First version I have downloaded.

Do you have an error log of what happened? If you don't see any errors, make sure that error reporting is enabled (`/console scriptErrors 1`) or install [BugSack](https://mods.curse.com/addons/wow/BugSack).

  No errors.

  Only "gradient" is shown.

Are you changing the background texture of the cell/frame (the one that is behind the health bar), the  texture of the health bar or the background texture of the grid2 window?

Did you check the background color too? If the  background color is set to transparent (in the color picker the vertical slider to the right) the texture is not visible.
