It's pretty hard to see where your HoTs are at, if you play a druid. It's tough to glance over the raidframes and immediately gather where you hots are at, if you use colored icons and a cooldown spiral on top of that (numbers on icons are even worse to keep track of).

It's so much easier to instantaneously gather information by just glancing over the raidframes with one-colored squares, having the obvious black cooldown spiral on top of it, making checking hot timers without directly looking at them incredibly easy, so you can refresh HoTs without a mana loss.

You can have square spiral indicators already. Create the indicator as an icon and then increase the border size until the icon is just a colored square. :)
