What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enter any raid zone while solo or in a party group
2. Player (your) frame is now shown
3. Convert the party to raid group and player frame immediately joins party member frames

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Grid2 should be showing all the player frames always as usual. Instead when in a raid zone without a raid group a frame for the player is not shown however frames for party memebers are shown.

What Grid2 version and language of WoW are you using?

I have tried to solve this problem by changing the layouts but this seems to happen with all default layouts and any custom ones added. Have seen this happen MC, BWL and SWP. I can't vouch for other raids but this problem probably is affecting all raid zones.

I vouch for this issue too, I believe it is not properly considering the visibility filter options when you enter raid without a raid, or if you toggle between party and raid the UI may sometimes disappear for good, or after a /reloadui

Nothing fatal, just annoying. ;)
