Can we have heal absorbs be invisible IF there's no heal absorb? Currently, it shows 0, or is constantly lit up, depending on the indicator set up

Not possible, because heal absorb is a secret value.

The only thing we could do is display  a space/empty string if the value is zero, and only if the value is not abbreviated.

I think you still don't understand what I mean, this kind of logic/actions:  making something invisible or visible if certain value is zero, is what blizzard blocked with the secret system, this is the point of making certain information secret.
