What version of Grid2  are you using (Version is displayed in General/About Tab) ?

What game client version, classic or retail, windows or mac and language are you using ?

What steps will reproduce the problem?

 go into instance, hover over debuffs with tooltips activated. sometimes they will not show, and only appear after clicking onto the frames. may have something to do with applying dots via mouseover, but was not able to consistently reproduce the problem. When several debuffs go out on different people, the tooltips may also only be missing for the debuffs on some people and not others.
Did you try having Grid2 as the only enabled addon and everything else disabled?

Was it working in a previous version? If yes, which was the last good one?

  yes, before patch 12.0.0

Do you have an error log of what happened? If you don't see any errors, make sure that error reporting is enabled (`/console scriptErrors 1`) or install [BugSack](https://mods.curse.com/addons/wow/BugSack).

  it does not cause any error reports

It shows two debuffs going out onto myself, which I mouseover and no tooltip shows. then I click onto my frame, mouseover the debuffs again and tooltips start showing.

Tooltips in grid2 dont  work if the icons are placed outside the unit frame,  it was coded in this way, its not common for raid frames to place the icons outside of the unit frame rectangle.
