What version of Grid2  are you using (Version is displayed in General/About Tab) ?  v3.0.12

What game client version, classic or retail, windows or mac and language are you using ? retail

What steps will reproduce the problem? loading Grid2

  
Did you try having Grid2 as the only enabled addon and everything else disabled? yes

Was it working in a previous version? If yes, which was the last good one? dont know. haven't played wow in 10 years

Do you have an error log of what happened? If you don't see any errors, make sure that error reporting is enabled (`/console scriptErrors 1`) or install [BugSack](https://mods.curse.com/addons/wow/BugSack). no error

there are no Buffs in the Statuses section. i cannot seem to get any buffs to load so i cannot setup anything else. 

Create a new profile: General /Profiles / New Profile option.

The problem with the buffs is that I cannot select what is relevant for me. On my priest I need to see Prayer of Mending as relevant, that must be tracked constantly, what I get instead is a 60 minute stamina buff, that is absolutely irrilevant to track.

This is a midnight restriction, not a bug in Grid2. Optionally you can select the "Get Buffs from Blizzard Unit Frames" option to display the same buffs than blizzard raid frames is displaying.
