 when i play dps my frames on grid have alpha activated like i usually have when people are out of range. this happens when i play crossfaction but when im healer i don't have this problem. i use the same profile with the same options

Check out the range status settings, in grid2 you can setup different behaviour for different roles and classes in the same profile.

And by default the range status uses a heal spell to check the range when the character is a healer, and a different setting when the character is a dps.
