What steps will reproduce the problem?1. Go to a vendor that has learnable items (recipes, plans, etc.). The Bario Matalli <Sous Chef> in Stormwind is the example I will use here.2. Right click on the NPC for the vendor list to show up. Set the filter to hide already known recipes (or any filter that will eliminate one item in the list).3. Hover over any of the items still remaining to show its tooltip.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
While the tooltip is shown, the framerate plummets. For me, it goes down from 60 FPS to around 20 FPS. If I turn off all filters, the FPS stays at 60 when a tooltip is shown.
What version of the product are you using?
1.18.2
Do you have an error log of what happened?
No errors involved.
Please provide any additional information below.
I have tried other NPCs where a filter actually removes items. In all cases, the framerate would plummet while the filter was up and a tooltip was shown. I tried this with all my addons running as well as with just GVF running. If no filters are being used (or they have no effect I believe), then the tooltip comes up without an FPS drop.
wow never noticed this before will look into it
try the latest alpha and see if that helps
The latest alpha did help a lot. I only get a tiny dip in FPS when the tooltip is being drawn with filters up (momentary - maybe 2-3 FPS). I no longer dip into the teens from 60 FPS. Thanks for looking into and correcting this so quickly.
