What is the nature of the defect? After crafting items, and closing gnomeworks, the frame actually remains onscreen, but hidden. If you put your mouse in the right spot, you can actually still pull up the last item you had selected in the gnomeworks frame
What (if anything) triggers the defect? (happens when loading, when activating the mod, when clicking a particular button, etc)I've only seen it occur after crafting an item. If I don't craft anything, it doesn't happen.
Please post any error messages associated with the defect.
Note, this is with Gnomeworks r98
Needless to say, it is quite annoying to move your mouse around the screen and have recipes pop up. Particularly while raiding. ;)
wow. interesting. were you in combat at all with the gw frame open? how big is the area that is sensitive? like an icon size or the size of the skill list buttons? also, does it correspond to gw frame elements and if so, which one?
I had crafted a bunch of items in Stormwind prior to going on the raid. I was not in combat when I did that crafting. I did no crafting, nor did I open Gnomeworks, while in combat. I had to hover my mouse at one exact pixel area for that to pop up, but I was able to regularly hit it. I finally opened up the GW screen, and it was exactly where the recipe of the last thing I had crafted show up on my screen. I then switched to a different recipe, closed gnomeworks, and put my mouse in the same spot, and the new recipe showed up instead. So whatever happened, it persisted when changing recipes.
so if i understand, the spot had moved to the location of the new recipe in the skill list, yeah? and was it the full width of the recipe button?
I didn't move the gnomeworks frame, so the spot remained the same. And no, the spot I had to hit was pretty small.
I see from the comments on the main page someone else has hit this error too (see the one about doing leatherworking and fishing).
I see you followed up to that one. I don't think it is tooltip related. I could make it appear regardless of what I was doing (flying, around no mobs, etc). I just had to hit the right spot.
I have duplicated the issue here. Unsure what caused it.
I have seen this also. It happens when you open the tradeskill window and then close it. It is almost like instead of GW closing it just goes into the background, behind the graphics on the screen.
It is not a big issue except it does get in the way at times when I am raiding :)
i can't duplicate the problem so far....
the secure button stuff might relate to this. does it only happen some time after doing a secure operation (ie, milling, prospect, or some other pseudotrade)?
