 I have set Filter to 'Trade' and 'General' however my log files are still capturing both of these channels.

I do not wish to log Trade, it makes for huge log files and I don't need it for anything.

Is there a bug causing the filter not to work?

Working as intended. You should not be using filters to filter those chats, but instead show those chat (Trade, for example) and click on the big red button called "Disable") ;)
