Hi I must be missing something because I can't seem to find any option to keep people in their assigned groups. 

This is super helpful when you are assigned to dispell/decurse certain groups

To clarify it just seems to randomly assign spots to people unless I am missing something

You can use the priority list for that (ctrl+left click on the MUF's handle)
