This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

3.0 Note :

A new command is available : !full <craftname>, returning the link to the profession, browsable directly by the person requesting the link.

Description

A few months ago, I wrote EnchantList, that addon allowed people to whisper you !enchant followed by keywords, and get back a list of enchantments you can do, matching the keywords. GemList was created a little later, based on EnchantList, and was doing the same for Jewelcrafting.

CraftList2 is a rewrite from almost scratch of those. It now works for every profession in the game and is handling 3 triggers:

!enchant <any combination of keywords and itemlinks> example: !enchant [Ashbringer] 35 heal

!gem <any combination of color/stat/reagent/text> example: !gem red, !gem [Talasite], !gem 5 strength

!craft <any combination of reagent/text> example: !craft belt of blasting, !craft belt [Primal Fire]

The database is updated every time you open a craft panel. The GUI is brand new, use /clist or /craftlist to open the panel.

Expanding on this a little, !full errors out when not followed by text. It should either A) print out usage text like the other ! commands or B) just return all of your characters' professions since it shouldn't be that long of a list anyway...that'd be spiffy if it didn't swamp your computer or DC you for sending too much info. It doesn't work on partial text either, or abbreviations like "LW, JC, etc."...which would be cool if it did.

Additionally, any results to !craft & !enchant seem to print out each of your character names and locations now even if they have no matches, which is rather annoying.

found a bug :)

it seems that !full isn't filtered like the other 3 (!gem, !enchant & !craft) so when people write !full it shows in my chat window

I have done so. I disabled that, as well as all the chat mods and profession mods I have [Eloquence, Prat3, BookofCrafts, and this]. With all four disabled, it works. They all work on their own, and with one another, except Craftlist2.

Could you make sure it is a craftlist2 problem please ? Try to disable the addon and try again

I've found a bug where, once it has all my character's professions, it won't allow me to click links of someone else's. The game doesn't crash or anything, just that the window doesn't pop up.

It would be useful (and, I imagine, easy to code) if the addon added the crafter's current location to the returned string. For example, "cl2> results for Charactername in Ironforge"

This would be especially convenient when results are returned from a query sent to guild. This would let the person looking for an item/enchant easily determine which potential crafter is closest and most conveniently available.

Thank you for updating this addon :)

however ive stumbled upon a bug
whenever i open a somebody elses proffesion from a link craftlist2 thinks its my proffesion and scans it - is there a way to disable this?

I came here just to ask the same thing Ikarasu did. If it is possible to link the whole profession to people whispering you a command I would love you for adding this functionality.

The latest version doesn't throttle chat, unless I'm missing a library that it will use. Getting disconnected by someone who does an option that returns 30+ is quite annoying.

Thanks so much for updating this! It's a life saver when you have multiple toons and professions so you can find crafting mats without endlessly relogging.
