This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.
CowTip is a customizeable, tag-based tooltip addon. It is based on Rock and other libraries of the community. It is currently in beta.
CowTip isn't meant to be the smallest addon humanly possible, but it will be clean, configurable, and have the same polish I afford my other addons.
brand new install of my addons and I get this

tried using my old backup version and I don't get this
Using AggroColor in a tag causes the following error in Wrath:

i get this error in WotLK/PTR
Error: bad argument #2 to 'format' (string expected, got nil)
File: ...\CowTip\libs\LibDogTag-Unit-3.0\Categories\Auras.lua

and way to fix it?
what i am trying to do is make a line that displays the faction the moused over mob belongs to (aldor, keepers of time, thrallmar, etc) then the current rep level, and then the percentage into that rep level i am at with that faction.
thats what i have. 2 things arent working, the first is excluding mobs that have literally Horde or Alliance as their faction, and the second thing is PercentReputation will not show anything if i send it the Faction argument (even though dogtag description of this tag says i can, it throws no error either, just displays nothing) or it shows the default, which is my currently watched faction's %. any ideas?
Just installed it, just to check it out, and what it does is modifies the general tool tip. Both the anchor of it and the information shown. With the addon's default setting, when hovering a player, you get the tool tip anchored to your mouse pointer. Tool tips for hovering frames is anchored down in the bottom right corner, where it normally is. You get both a health and mana bar for the target along with info about level, guild, faction, specc etc. Information shown can be modified and you can hide the information you don't want. Hope this information helps :)

Posted Aug 12, 2008Nice mod, but there should be an option to just anchor the tool tip to the top, without a mouse over.
