This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

CARTOGRAPHER HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED FOR 3.3!!!

DO NOT CREATE BUG REPORTS SAYING IT IS BROKEN!

There are no plans to do any major bug fixes for Cartographer (v2 or v3). If there is an update it will only be a minor fix. (It has already been this way since at least 2008.) Cartographer(v2) uses an outdated framework that will not be updated in the case of major breakages so Cartographer(v2) would require a complete rewrite. Neither of the two main developers (Ckknight and Arrowmaster) have the time nor desire to do this currently. Occasionally a new version might be released to include fixes made by other developers or new versions of embedded libraries.

Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map. It is based on Rock and other libraries of the WoWAce community.

Battlegrounds : allows viewing of battlegrounds outside of the zone.
Coordinates : adds coordinates to the bottom of the world map of the player and the cursor.
Foglight : Shows unexplored areas on the map. replacement for MozzFullWorldMap or Unexplorer. Much more efficient, though.
Group Colors : turns all your party's and your raid's POIs into circles colored based on class, and shows a number on them based on their raid group.
Instance Maps : shows maps of instances.
Instance Notes : adds boss notes and such to instance maps.
Look 'n' Feel : allows you to change the transparency, position, and scale of the world map.
Notes : lets you put notes on the map, similar to MapNotes.
Zone Info : on hovering over a zone, it will show the levels of the zone, the instances in the zone, their levels, and the group size the instance is made for (e.g. 5-man, 40-man).

Curse Client installed all updates for QH and Cartographer..

My question is, yesterday my Cartographer way point was working completely normal./

Today I log on, and it is a ton of white arrows in a box shape, and they are pointing in all directions.

Please Help!

I am having this same issue! It works on all my other characters, except one. I even tried deleting my WTF folder, and it still doesn't work!

When used in conjunction with Sharedmedia r78780, I get these two errors:

On startup:

"...AddOns\Cartographer\libs\LibRock-1.0\LibRock-1.0.lua: 2357: attempt to index local 'addon' (a string value)"

Every two-three seconds:

"...AddOns\Cartographer\Cartographer.lua: 1062: attempt to index field 'gotoOptions' (a nil value)"

I know you can't fix these errors, but was wondering if anyone could tell me what I might be able to do to Sharedmedia to keep this from occurring (short of disabling the AddOn). If you know an alternative to Sharedmedia that'd also be swell.

Would anybody know why my cartographer always starts half off the screen when I log off and then back in? It's always half off and I have to drag it up to the correct spot after every log. It started about a month and a half ago and I am not sure how to correct the problem.

Hi! I have a problem with the version 2.2 (I play in a private server that supports patch 2.4.3 only). The error say "Interface\AddOns\Cartographer_Foglight\Foglight.lua: 1160: attempt to call global 'ToggleFrame' (a nil value)". Oh, almost forgot. In the instances I can't see the loot of the bosses in the map. If you can help me for both my problems I will always grateful! :D

Im having a problem with this Addon. I have the Titan Panel Addon installed now, and when I install Cartographer, it messes up my world map controls. For example while useing the world map I cannot right click to zoom out or click a new zone and view it. Do Titan Panel and Cartographer have conflicting files or something?

It appears to be only in Dalaran, works fine in IF. (/note 50,50) or ctrl-rclick don't seem to do anything.

r2281, updated standalone libs, USEng client/server (the issue was also present in r2277).
Cartographer_Notes is unable to make notes in Dalaran (new Northrend city) in either the main part or The Underbelly. CTRL-rightclick and the normal pop-up box ("Create a new note") does not appear at any time.
Can create notes properly in all other Northrend zones I've tried; only Dalaran has the issue.

Just a quick question, I am using the pre-3.0.2 version of Cartographer_Herbalism and it seems to work ok in Azeroth and Outlands but does not record any herbs I pick in Northrend. I now saw that the project no longer exists on Curse or WoWAce.

Does anyone know what happened or how I can get Cartographer to remember my picked nodes again?

Same problem with Mining, by the way.

This is beacuse the addon does not reconise the names of the minerals (im guessing)
Just add them in and it should work.

I've started doing that for Herbalism. I was just a little irritated that the Mining, Herbalism, Fishing Plugins no longer exist on curse...
