This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

CARTOGRAPHER HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED FOR 3.3!!!

DO NOT CREATE BUG REPORTS SAYING IT IS BROKEN!

There are no plans to do any major bug fixes for Cartographer (v2 or v3). If there is an update it will only be a minor fix. (It has already been this way since at least 2008.) Cartographer(v2) uses an outdated framework that will not be updated in the case of major breakages so Cartographer(v2) would require a complete rewrite. Neither of the two main developers (Ckknight and Arrowmaster) have the time nor desire to do this currently. Occasionally a new version might be released to include fixes made by other developers or new versions of embedded libraries.

Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map. It is based on Rock and other libraries of the WoWAce community.

Battlegrounds : allows viewing of battlegrounds outside of the zone.
Coordinates : adds coordinates to the bottom of the world map of the player and the cursor.
Foglight : Shows unexplored areas on the map. replacement for MozzFullWorldMap or Unexplorer. Much more efficient, though.
Group Colors : turns all your party's and your raid's POIs into circles colored based on class, and shows a number on them based on their raid group.
Instance Maps : shows maps of instances.
Instance Notes : adds boss notes and such to instance maps.
Look 'n' Feel : allows you to change the transparency, position, and scale of the world map.
Notes : lets you put notes on the map, similar to MapNotes.
Zone Info : on hovering over a zone, it will show the levels of the zone, the instances in the zone, their levels, and the group size the instance is made for (e.g. 5-man, 40-man).

Seing as the dude who made it doesn't want too, could you find out why tihs: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/coords.aspx doesn't work together with cartographer? It prevents you from zooming out on the world map.

my cartographer does not show the red marks on the map showing where the guest is anymore how do i get it back

I have been having a problem with creating a waypoint to a note that I created/saved. I used to be able to just type /way shatt to create a waypoint (and arrow) to a note that I had named shatt. When I do this now I get an error. I have tried all of the 3.1.0 versions and am getting this problem. The last version that I know it worked was r2302 (I did not update my cart until 3.1.0 came out because I was not having any problems with it) It says not to post long error reports here so I posted it at the following:

Does anyone know if this issue is because of a change in game mechanics that for some reason doesnt allow this anymore? or is there another reason?

Hello,i've got a problem,im running wow version 3.0.9,when i open wow,cartographer gives error about waypoints,i've tried all version available to download,all of them gives the same error... :(

The latest version keeps giving me an error:

Cartographer/libs/librock-1.0\librock-1.0.lua:2346: attempt to index local "addon" (a string value). I've had to down grade to the previous version for the error to go away.

If you have coords, you will not be able to zoom out. I'm not sure about the rest of the right clicking, but I know this is true on the zoom out problem. If you like having coords on the screen I suggest Cartographer_minimap_coords. To move it, you will have to right click instead of alt clicking.

I seem to have the same problem as Qn1f3 and ryper86 when it comes to right clicking in instances, however this is only a problem in Pre-WotLK instances. Every WotLK instance I've been in has worked perfectly.

Having the same problem as you've described.

Disabled the instance-related parts of Cartographer to get it working. It's not a sollution, but I'm not dependant of the instance maps.

Please fix:

1.Cant right click in instances / groups / raids (cant right click anything)
2.Cant zoom out, anytime(aka right click on map).

Really dependant on this mod ^^

CK question what am I doing wrong?

I enable the look n feel, and my actionbars at the bottom bring nothing up. I cannot bring my contacts up, or even when I hit the computer Icon still nothing. But I deable the look n feel area and everything works again, but I lose the larger arrow... HELP?

I'm still having the same error issue with Notes and questing in northrend. Anytime I pick up a quest item or complete a quest, or turn a quest in, I get the following error:

Interface\AddOns\Cartographer_Notes\Notes.lua:3636: bad argument #1 to 'rawget' (table expected, got nil)

Once I get this error a handful of times, QuestInfo stops showing quest markers on my map. We've tried duplicating it on my husband's system & he doesn't have the issue at all (but for all I know it may be related to the quests I'm doing or something). The difference between our systems is hardware, and that he runs XP whereas I run Vista.

I also get the error, and am running Questhelper in junction with it. I don't recieve any problems with QH from it, just the occasional error window. It's a little annoying.

I'd give a lot to have Cartographer updated. I've had to backdate out of the latest version just to be able to have most of the program working. And to be able to right click when in an instance I have to disable cartographer instance everything. I've tried removing xperl and not using any sort of addon for the frames. But it still causes the issue :( And when using the most current version, I have an issue with editing the program at all. The little + won't expand at all for me.

I don't know if it's just me, but every time that I set a waypoint, WoW crashes on me and I have to restart. I like the coordinates, but it sucks that I can't set any waypoints.

I have not been able to post a note in a long while. I have delete wfl files on this addon, still same results. I used to be able too. Some old notes still show on map ?
