What steps will reproduce the problem?1. I'm not sure... but possibly resizing the map window. It may have to do something with Titan Panel, as that was at the bottom of my screen.2.3.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?I expect to be able to resize the height of the map, but the top and bottom map window borders are on the VERY top and bottom of the screen. I am able to resize the width of the map window, but not the height. My mouse can't reach the top or bottom, it just pans the map.
What version of the product are you using?Cartographer 3.0 v0.8.2
Do you have an error log of what happened? No
Please provide any additional information below.I tried reinstalling Cartographer 3.0, but it's still sized strangely when I log back in. It used to work fine, but then I guess I dragged the top or bottom to some place I shouldn't have...
I'm guessing there's a variable lying around somewhere that I could change to correct this... any help?
fffffffffffff, the same thing just happened with the width (on the new version, btw)
and this time, I was paying attention to what I was doing. what caused it was dragging the left and right sides to the left and right sides of the screen. upon logging back in, it was even wider than I had made it.
YES, I fixed it!
alright, here's what I did: editing the savedvariables file was doing nothing (as the height would just reset in there), so I started messing with the resolution.
dropping it down to 800x600 didn't help... but then I picked the wide resolution right next to it, and that let me resize the width again! I tried increasing the resolution to fix the height, but it didn't help. sooo, I went into the config.wtf file, and set the res to 1024x800. that gave me like ONE pixel's worth of room allowing me to resize the height.
I'll be sure to keep the edges of the map away from the edges of the screen for now... but you should probably put some map size option in the cartographer options, ckknight
I am also having the same issue with this. I also tried to reset the resolution values but this did not help my case in fixing it. I some how moved the map and the top part went off the screen and now I can no longer see that part nor can I move the map. The cursor coordinates and such are at the top of the screen I believe so it's irritating not being able to see them when I am trying to locate a place based on coordinates
I have found a easy way fix this. Go to file: C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\Login Name\Server Name\Character Name\layout-cache.txt
Find This Line: Cartographer_MapHolder
After that line, you should see something similar to this. (If you use Notepad to edit, you will see squares in between). X: -4 Y: 140 W: 300 H: 300
If you have taken a Math Class in school, you should know that X and Y are Locations on the screen and W means Width and H means Height. Change either W or H to a smaller value, as you can see I just did, and you can resize after words. Just don't make them larger than your screen resolution. That is what caused the problem before.
yea I would like for a way to get this fixed as well. I was actually having problems with the width. What happened to me was that I was resizing, then moving the frame so that in the end, I had over 2700 px Width with only a 1900 max size. What Liger_XT5 suggested worked for me so if there was a way to click a button to default back to the original size/position that would be great.
