Cartographer 3.0

Table of Contents

This is a map addon for World of Warcraft that replaces the map and offers shiny features.

The idea is for it to work very much like Google Maps, only in-game.

Cartographer 3.0 is brand new, "experimental" version of Cartographer.

I'm having the same problem. I finally renabled questhelper's arrow, but I wish this one worked, because QH's is too big.

Is there any temporary fix for the instances maps problem? I was able to fix the dalaran map missing and the mapnotes problem (thx to osgald)
now i just need the instances in order to get the addon completely working.

And btw thx a lot to ckknight for his job on this! (hope you will update it soon)

I have used this addon and i love it however i am getting a out of date when using the current version can i get any help with this

Love the AddOn. I was able to fix the Notes module by editing C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\Cartographer3_Notes\Notes.lua and changed line 439 from:
local function func(self,k)

to:
local function func(k)

It looks like Blizz changed the way LUA arguments are passed, and this funciton just wasn't updated. Notes work now, though I have to go into the Interface>AddOns>Cartographer3>Modules menu, uncheck the Notes module and recheck it... every time WoW loads. Haven't bothered chasing that one down.

i downloaded the newest version and went to the map and then to instances and clicked stratholme but nothing happened, tried uninstalling and reinstalling but same thing the instance maps wont shot up

I've just created a new player and the cartographer3 in the profil appears with the width too big! I can't make it smaller. I've tried to uninstall the addon and re-install. Whatever. It still too large. And it's the same with all new characters and my main. What can I do?

Is there any chance to see this addon updated for 3.2? I think it's a great addon and I miss some features like instances maps, battlegrounds maps and waypoints arrows. I'd appreciate so much an effort to keep this addon updated.

This is a Execelent Map! works just like Google.. can somtimes be dificult to navigate... and Defently needs Dungeon and Raid maps... thats what ive been looking for... Quest Helper on it is somtimes Sketchy... but all and all its good... still needs a little work but i like the terain detail when you zooms helps allot

im not realy liking the cart3 to much because of its interaction with the mouse overs im trying to look at something move to a spot & boom its all changed its going good so far but i would like to see it more compatible with mouse overs & zooms i think when all said & done its going to be one of the BEST addons good work so far

There seems to be a lot going on with the upgrade to WoW patch 3.2. I went into my Cart3 settings dialog and discovered that the Waypoint arrow interface seems to have been completely removed with the latest update to Cart3! It also seems to be having other problems as well, and I can only assume, since no one seems to actually respond to our questions either here or on WoWace that work is being done to get Cart3 up to date with the latest WoW patch release. You can TRY clicking the "Load Out Of Date Addons" box at the top of your addons page (before Logging onto your game server) and the Addon should load properly. How well it will work though is a matter of some conjecture. Give it a try. Worst comes to worst you can always disable it until we hear something more or another update is released.

Hmmm. Did a little research. Cartographer (Old Cart, not 3.0) is listed on Curse (here) as supporting WoW vers 3.2. Cart 3 is still showing 3.1 support. Looks like Ck and team (if there is a team) are working their way up as fast as they can. My answer is to disable Cart3 and just keep using QuestHelper (show arrow) until further updates are released. Just hope it comes along soon! I miss my Cart3! :D
