This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

CARTOGRAPHER HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED FOR 3.3!!!

DO NOT CREATE BUG REPORTS SAYING IT IS BROKEN!

There are no plans to do any major bug fixes for Cartographer (v2 or v3). If there is an update it will only be a minor fix. (It has already been this way since at least 2008.) Cartographer(v2) uses an outdated framework that will not be updated in the case of major breakages so Cartographer(v2) would require a complete rewrite. Neither of the two main developers (Ckknight and Arrowmaster) have the time nor desire to do this currently. Occasionally a new version might be released to include fixes made by other developers or new versions of embedded libraries.

Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map. It is based on Rock and other libraries of the WoWAce community.

Battlegrounds : allows viewing of battlegrounds outside of the zone.
Coordinates : adds coordinates to the bottom of the world map of the player and the cursor.
Foglight : Shows unexplored areas on the map. replacement for MozzFullWorldMap or Unexplorer. Much more efficient, though.
Group Colors : turns all your party's and your raid's POIs into circles colored based on class, and shows a number on them based on their raid group.
Instance Maps : shows maps of instances.
Instance Notes : adds boss notes and such to instance maps.
Look 'n' Feel : allows you to change the transparency, position, and scale of the world map.
Notes : lets you put notes on the map, similar to MapNotes.
Zone Info : on hovering over a zone, it will show the levels of the zone, the instances in the zone, their levels, and the group size the instance is made for (e.g. 5-man, 40-man).

i have one question...i dont see in the world map, notes for area level, and instances in the locations...what i must change for this? i want this :)

anyone have this problem- when right click on map to see the entire map, the map go back to the zone map automatically

Anyone else have this? When I click on a boss from an instance map and click their loot, it kicks me out back to my current zone map. It can get very annoying when trying to find drops in an instance...

First of all thanks for this extremely helpful addon and for updating it for 3.1. There is however one issue that I have with the latest version: While I have Cartographer installed and active, I cannot see the Wintergrasp map.

I was wondering, not sure which side is the one that needs to look into this but when I have QuestHelper addon enabled and I go to set a waypoint on my map it doesn't place the small red X on the map it only shows the arrow but sometimes I use a lot of waypoints at a time it would be easier if I could remove them from the map itself rather than the arrows as sometimes I've removed the wrong ones. I will post this same thing on the QuestHelper authors page and see what happens but would be great if you could look into it and see why this is happening.

Extract ZIP as it is into Addons folder.
Cartographer is not a single addon, it is many small addons glued together.

I cant seem to get cartographer working on WOW - anyone else having issues?
I've tried to uninstal then re-instal - but it hasnt worked....

Thanks for the update.

I one more bug to report, Wintergrasp has a timer now when you goto the world map and zoom into it.
Cartographer does not have this working I believe...

I have noticed Recount, Questhelper both having errors while inside intances or while raiding.
I'm not sure this has anything to do with what the other person below me posted, but I'm sure all the mods will keep getting updates till the bugs are fixed.

I just found out that Cartographer "instance loot" + "instance maps" + "instance notes" will cause the Questhelper to mailfunction when ur inside instances!
The result is: u cant right klick anything when ur inside an instance!
Disable those 3 fixed it for me!!!!
The new updates from Questhelper and Cartographer dident help!
A yes my addons is up to date ... using curse installer!

Man TY for that zone up date thats how i was lvling and after the patch every add-on got messed up and it was just a mess but thanks for taking the time to sit down and fix all this for us YOU ROCK!!!!!

Since updating for 3.1, when I am viewing the map and wish to browse other zones by right-clicking to go 'up' and view an entire region, I'm unable to. The map flashes a brief flicker of the next level of the map, but instantly pings back down to the current area. I'm also unable to use the drop down menu to control the zone map.

Fishing Levels are still relevant. Even though you can theoretically fish anywhere now, Blizz have said if you're fishing places over your level you might get skill points but you're not likely to get useful fish, just "junk". So I'd say leave 'em in.

Oh and CKKnight, thanks for the hard work you've done to get us back up and running after the patch. Much appreciated.
