What steps will reproduce the problem?
    1. Arrange a mailbox with at least 51 mails. One of the visible mails must contain multiple items.
    2. Log on to that toon, or reload the UI.
    3. Open the mailbox.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Actual result: The error report below is generated. The functionality does not appear to be otherwise affected; at least, I couldn't see anything break or work unexpectedly.

Expected result: The error message is not displayed.

What version of the product are you using?
4.0.5 - Although this error occurred with the 3.x versions as well.

Please provide any additional information below.
I'm not able to identify whether this error happens specifically because a mail has more than one item, or whether it happens because the total number of items exceeds 50, or because the total number of items exceeds the number of mails.

Do you have an error log of what happened?

I did some additional digging regarding this error. It does not happen when BMI is loaded alone (at least, I wasn't able to get it to show up). It doesn't happen when BMI and Skillet are loaded (another addon mentioned in the error trace). It also doesn't happen when BMI, Skillet, and Auction Power Master are loaded (APM is another addon that hooks into the mail inbox and modifies its appearance and behavior). It appears tied to the mailbox refreshing its contents when there are more than 50 items. It doesn't happen the first time you open the inbox. However, if you open a mailbox with over 50 mails, remove a mail, then allow the mailbox to refresh, then the error will sometimes appear. I was not able to reproduce this consistently, even with the same mailbox contents, so I'm not sure of the root cause. :(

    Is bug 20 a duplicate?

  • KyrosKrane posted a comment Feb 14, 2012

Just noticed the reply on this.  No, bug 20 isn't a duplicate.  Bug 20 talks about taking items from the box.  This report is just about viewing the list of items in the inbox without trying to take them out.

In fact, I suspect that bug 20 is a false report.  The "Item not found" message is a bug from Blizzard; I've seen it happen with almost every addon that can take items from mail.  In all cases, I've seen it correctly take the items.  If it's a stackable item and you already have one in your bags, the new ones you take will try to add to the existing stack.  If you're not watching carefully, it can seem as if the items poofed.
