Addon Support Statement

NEWS: I'm back in WoW. I'll try to update addons after catching up, especially if they are bugging out.

Addon Description

Bulk mail reception made really easy. This addon allows you to selectively pick mails to open from the inbox, open all mails with money or open all items.

Key Features

There are many bulk email openers available to choose from. However Bulk Mail Inbox has several unique features:

Shows a dialog with all items and money in your mailbox.
Allows you to take individual items even if they were all sent in one email.
You can mark multiple items to take make without taking all.
Allows easy comparision of items in the mail list with items you're currently using (just hold shift down while hovering the items).

Bulk Mail Inbox 4.0 beta

The 4.0 beta is a conversion to Ace3 and other modern libraries. In addition it has several improvements and fixes as outlined below:

Inbox pagination and filtering.
Clicking on a column header now sorts that header. Before clicking on any header just rotated the sorting to a new column.
Sorting is reversed if you click on the header which currently is sorted.
Better placement of the tooltip (now sit nexts to the frame that opened it)
Pressing and releasing the shift key while hovering an item will now properly show/hide the comparision window.
Fixed opening of mails is now throttled to prevent errors and as a result opening a lot of mails is now much better.
The list of items is updated during auto opening emails.

Suddenly today, I'm getting this error when I open my mailbox:

1x BulkMail2Inbox-3.0.2\BulkMailInbox.lua:86: attempt to compare string with number

After that, BulkMail2Inbox shows my mailbox empty even though it's not.

I haven't installed any new addons lately.

BM2 is throwing errors on 3.3.3. I can't paste them as the entire game crashed and now I can't log back in, but it was one of those indexing a nil or something like that. ANyone else?

I once found a setting for this addon to disable the take all button. i can't find it anymore.

I did a whole lot of re-testing.

First, it doesn't seem possible to delete a mail which has an item or gold in it without being given a secure confirmation popup. This eliminates any concern over losing anything.

I also see the same update strangeness. The item and money-gathering sound also seems somewhat unrelated. I also see errors pop up because of the speed of which the addon tries to empty the mailbox. This all worried me, but it seems to work just fine!

I confirmed an issue with a full mailbox and using 'take all' deleting mail (with no confirmation!) which has gold in it. It's better to use a simple macro for taking gold.. I'll post it later when I find it in my notes.

I have no such issues. I just tested this morning on a full inbox, including some AH gold. After getting all, I had exactly the amount of gold that was expected.

The only weirdness I see is that sometimes the BM2I list of items will shorten as items are collected, and sometimes (more often) it will stay showing everything that was there until the last item is collected, then it clears down to empty all at once. No idea why.

With the curse client v4, it said that this was updated. That's not true, but I reinstalled it anyway. I re-applied the hack as listed below and everything seems to work.

Would be nice if the next version had the ability to take all items and leave the cash. Nice for those of us that want to keep track of what actually sold without having to select everything but one line of "Item Sold ....."

To update:

1) Install these:
LibAbacus-3.0
Ace2
TabletLib

2) Change the .toc file with:

Hey, It's a good addon, but really, come on. Not including a standard close window button? So, when I get an entirely FULL mailbox, which I do CONSTANTLY because I disenchant 4 times a day, for a full number of items I can buy at advantage, I have to put up with a partially intelligent, but entirely unthoughtful flock of a window that dominates my arsh everytime? PUHLEASE, think even MORE. Don't stop here..... take pride and do the rest of the job.

Ok, well I resolved my issue. my problem was that the frame was unable to be interacted with. I could see and scroll through all the mail, but not click any mail to retrieve. I fixed this by simply editing the savedvariables and finding the line that says locked and changing it from true to false. Easy fix. I am unsure if updating the library was needed or not, but I did do that as well. So, so far so good. The outgoing bulkmail2 works as well now.

This is busted for me! My favorite addon!! The window pops up but I am unable to select any mail.
