FAQ
Q: I cannot move/drag my skills on my bars?
A: Hold Shift to move skills safely. You can also unlock your bars in the Bartender4 options, but using Shift is safer and recommended.
Q: How do i access the Configuration?
A: You can open the configuration with the Slash Commands (/bt or /bartender) or through the Bartender4 LDB plugin.
Q: Where are my keybindings? And how do i bind new keys?
A: Bartender4 buttons should automatically inherit keybindings from the Blizzard bars. For new keybindings, you can use KeyBound to re-bind your keys. You can access KeyBound by its slash command (/kb) or through the button in the BT4 config. Hover a button, press key → voila!
Q: Can I skin the buttons beyond the built-in options?
A: Bartender4 allows skinning through Masque! After installing both Bartender4 and Masque, you can customize the BT4 appearance in the Masque options.
Q: How do i disable the snapping of the bars?
A: Currently, you can temporarily override the snapping by holding down the Shift Key while moving your bars, or uncheck the option in the popup when your bars are unlocked.

"We currently have a button lock. However, when the button lock is engaged, buttons can still be moved if shift is held down.
However, i have lots of buttons that are macros combining functions sensitive to shift. Thus, at least for me, button-lock doesn't really lock. It's easy for me to accidentally move the buttons around, even when locked, during normal operation.
I'd like to see a way to make it so buttons are never moved when button lock is engaged. Personally, I think this should be the default and probably only behavior, but if not, perhaps some sort of additional toggle or selector could enacapsulate the behavior others find useful as well as this one."
The most important feature to improve !! please help I can't use my warlock's actionbar without having those actions pop as a cursor and have them go away!
i.e. if you
- hold a mouse keybind for lets say petattak, then
- hold shift, then
- release both
you'll see that button going like mad and follow'n your cursor = pain in the *
please, or at least in the meantime if there's somebody who knows where to delete de SHIFT modifier in *.lua files so I can change it to lets say ALT , help
merci,
Any help is still welcome ! even if it's only you who's experiencing the same bt's behavior.
Tk'you* ^^
Need to include functionality to open your key ring.
In Bartender it is possible to hide hotkeys for each action bar - it doesn't hide them completely rather it replaces them with a small circle that is either white or red depending whether or not the target is in range and whether or not a particular spell is applicable to the target. This worked fine prior to the patch - although I can’t remember which version of Bartender I had installed at that time.
In the standard WoW interface settings there are check boxes which allow you to choose which of the standard action bars are displayed. Previously these check boxes could be ignored since the ones enabled in Bartender took precedence, I discovered last night that unless they are also checked in the WoW interface the hotkey range indication for that bar no longer gets updated.
The latest version of Button Facade seems to further break hotkey range indication since it moves the my hotkey markers outside of the button icons (as well as any macro names) so I disabled every single addon except Bartender and deleted the Bartender WTF file to ensure no old settings were confusing the issue.
With just Bartender active and all the action bars checked in the WoW interface, the hotkey range indication does seem to work but it can take so long (20 – 30 seconds) for the indicators to change they are all but unusable.
I’m not lagging and I have 60 fps so I doubt it is a shortage of processing power.
fixed again by disabling bartender. so it is a bartender issue, but not a constant bug.
