On my warrior, I loathe having to macro /startattack into every one of my attacks.
This is not an uncommon practice- in fact, I have yet to meet a warrior who does not do this, to help with rage generation and DPS when switching targets.
Could you add an option, just a check box if nothing else, that would code in autoattack to the buttons of your choice?
That would be simply amazing.
Absolutely agree. I was almost sure this feature was included in Bartender previously too... I rerolled a rogue, and I'm running into the same problem as Farenvini. If something I'm targeting dies, and then I hit tab to get a new target, my character will not start autoattacking until I actually have enough energy to use an ability.
For example if a target dies and I have 20 energy and am spamming Sinister Strike, my autoattack will not start until I hit the 40/45 energy required to use sinister strike, when really it should preferably start as soon as I start hitting the button, because I'm attempting to make an offensive move on the target, regardless of if I have enough power in my power bar to perform that particular move.
This is actually a feature that's covered by the default WoW interface. Enter your Interface options, click on Combat, and make sure that the "Stop Auto Attack" box is unchecked.
Actually, Malazee, that just doesn't turn off your auto attack on switching. However, for optimal rage generation, simply relying on that isn't an option.
/startattack macros aren't something that can be worked around as of yet- they ARE required. Unchecking that box is something that most melee classes do by default just so their class isn't unplayable.
I would still like to see this in Bartender- and seeing as how it has the third most votes out of any ticket, and the most votes out of any unanswered ticket, it seems others agree.
