After updating to shadowland prepatch the bars wont show for me unless I disable bartender. I tried deleting and downloading again now the game wont recognize the addon

I still have got the same problem. I tried the previous update for Shadowlands and I've tried the latest build that was still for BFA but to no avail. Neither of the three versions work. I see no action bars or spells. Neither the minimap-button nor the /bartender or /bt-command works. I hope this gets fixed soon, as I do not like to use the Blizzard Action Bar UI - if feels crammed and unflexible.

I still have my bars, but I can not adjust or move them as I can not open the addon, which will suck for new toons, hopefully the profile copy will work.

Seems to be working now. Not sure if the dev fixed it or what. 

My bartender4 isn't working at all. When I load the game I don't see any action bars, cant even access the bartender options.

I disabled all my addons and left only Bartender active and still nothing.

I also tried a fresh install, deleted older bartender folder, still no luck

anyone have any ideas ?

I still can't get them to show. I can mouse over apparently invisible bars, but still nothing after multiple reloads. Naga was having a similar issue with not showing...

Same issue: no bars when Bartender is enabled.

The bars not being visible suggests that you may not have updated to the new version correctly. Make sure to grab 4.10.0 or newer.

Update the version 4.10.2 and I don't see any action bars...

I have now downloaded the 4.10.2 and still to no avail...I can't do anything, I don't even have mouseover let alone acess to the settings. I deleted my wow-cache. Doesn't work. Haven't tried reinstalling wow yet but given the download time for the updates and stuff I don't want to try. Apparently some people have already tried that and it didn't help.

As for how I install the addon: I copy the zip-file to the Addon-folder in Blizzard/World of Warcraft/retail. Always did it that way and I used to work like a charm in the past (except for gathermate2 - the game wouldn't want to recognize that addon as well).

I even checked if the Mod-File was accidently double zipped or something. I just can't tell why it isn't working.

Just updated to 4.10.2. Unfortunately I am having the same issues as people above with bars not showing up.

I am confident it isn't the addon itself as the game itself is full of bugs and crash's.

Half my guild cant log on their toons and get "Character not found" and when I look them up in guild they don't exist.

I myself have lost all key binds even when using the WoW Default I have no key binds what so ever, and cant set new ones or reset to default. So as It sits I have to manually click every single skill/spell ( unplayable ).

All the while constantly the server crash and randomly getting booted from server.

The game itself is broken at the moment, all the other mods I have installed that are "updated for shadowlands" are all not working

So I guess I'll wait till blizzard fixes their game first before trying this mod again.

Well I have to say that from the short list of mods I use to mostly enhance my UI and some for a bit of convenience only two that got fairly fast updated work without fail. One got a community temp fix that I am going to try out now. I don't think that it is solely because of patchday/game crashes/bugs since there apparently are players where bartender at least shows bars and spells even though they have other issues.

So there must be a different reason for why it won't work for us, since I have no problems with my keybindings - they work as intended with the blizzard action bars.

Maybe it's some sort of inconsistency between US and EU realms? I have no idea. US realms got the pre-patch one day earlier. I have no idea of coding let alone bugs and stuff that interferes with coding but I still think, that it's not only the game/the servers that interfere. Or maybe the pre-patch did not include somthing that was apparently still planned shortly before the launch of it. I read about some sort of backdrop-thingy that causes issues for many moders at the moment. Again - I have no idea of coding - just trying to share breadcrumbs I picked up when informing about why other addons didn't get updatet yet.

So I was having the same problem ..... 

I assume everyone is using twitch to download addons ?  

My account was set on classic wow , so all my addons were downloaded there instead of retail wow , I pulled down the tab on the top right and changed to retail and redownloaded everything ,  works like a charm now lol .

same! this sucks, cant really play anymore. I tried reporting the error message, and they just say to reinstall it....which i have been doing....

 davemike27: Nope I don't use twitch. I'm an old-school addon user that uses and updates addons the manual way by downloading the zip-files and moving them to the Addon-Folder within WoW-retail. And I don't play classic anyways so I ain't got the problem of mixing up folders :D

But overall the latest update still doesn't work...maybe I should also fetch that bugsack thingy so I can post logfiles, eh?

Sooo apparently I have been an idiot the whole time. I installed the whole thingy wrong (as the addon author suggested >.>). Actually I have installed every addon I use wrong and what wow showed me in my list were actually all old versions from pre 8.3. I sort of mixed up the Addons-Folder in retail with the AddOns-Folder in retail/Interface. *headdesks several times* plus I forgot to unzip them or better I unzipped them to the respective folder and forgot that blizz doesn't recognize addons when they are in subfolders with no files to access otherwise ^^;

So for everyone who just can't seem to get this thing (and others) running and also manually installs addons instead of using twitch:

1. Unzip the ZIP-Files of your Addons telling your unzip-app "Unzip here" (that way you only get the Addonfolders with no unnecessary subfolders)

2. Make sure that in the unzipped folders are accessible files and that the folder does NOT contain another single subfolder

3. Move those unzipped Addon-folders to: World of Warcraft/_retail_/Interface/AddOns

4. Enjoy your Addons

I have always installed the addons manually. But it was decompressing with VLC (because I no longer had winzip). I reinstalled Winzip so I unzipped the addon with it. And the bars are back!

FIXED - I use Twitch addon to update.  I right-clicked bartender and hit browse folder and found out this went to classic wow instead of retail wow.  i copied files in classic bartender folder, dragged retail bartender file to recycle bin, and then pasted the correct files in.  Back in business.  Thank god. 

Looking up a couple posts, my twitch mods were also set to classic.  Switched to retail in top right and also worked.  Thanks all.
