The New Wowace! (almost, the forums are on layaway)

Hi guys I've went ahead and swapped the dns records since most of the site is now usable.

So all of you should be seeing this soon.

Here is the status update from the old forum page:

Today is the day that the below plans go into action. Please be patient while we transition to the new site.

While the transition is going on many questions can be answered in our knowledge base. Not all things are documented yet but we are working on it continually.

I'm moving the status messages here, as I've locked the forums.

A few months ago I outlined an massive site upgrade in [ this thread.] The date has moved several times as we've toiled and waited for the stars to align. However, I am pleased to announce that today is the day we carry out the announcement. As a result the site will be disabled in portions while we handle things. We ask for all of your patience as we work today to achieve the transition. We hope it will be a smooth day.

I'll be updating this post and responding here through out the day.

Well thats what happens when people get fed up with Curse.. they start endorsing :P Most people don't know the issues with but what they do know is that it works. More power to them then I guess...

I hate to Site Bomb, but something has to be done about this problem. Curse client aparently doesn't even have the latest version of the mods which is a problem when trying to load them on WOW. I have the answer though for all of u who are interested . There is a client simmilar to the old WAU . It can be found at WWW.WOWMATRIX.COM!!! This client is nice. updated all my mods with one push of a button. EASY TO USE!!

I tried the Curse client and I AGREE!! It sucks! it messed all my addons up and now cant get them to load properly. I WANT WAU BACK!!! That was a one stop shop and was really easy to use.

I just wanted to echo what others are saying. WAU was great! Curse client so far is junk. It broke most of my addons and screwed everything up. What a pain in the ass.

I dont understand it anymore. Is WAU getting fixed or is it never coming back anymore? Couse WAU is the best! Everytime i start up WAU it says programm aint responding anymore (which you all prob know).. So just 1 clarification. Will WAU be working again soon? yes or no? tnx in advance

edit: i just see WAU is over and curse client is the new shit.. But i remember having curse client a few months ago. What happened was: I ran the client, and suddenly i had addons that were an older version that the ones i had.. Now thats what i call outdating, not updating. is that still happening ?

    Oh, and gimme WAU back!!

Well, with this complete pile of shit aka Curse Client AND the upcoming patch AND my recent purchase of a new computer i will use the oppurtunity to clean up my addons and restrict them to the ones that are really useful - manual download and install from now on. sigh...

WAU was great, curse client is a pain in the ass. WTF do you get the idea that someone will pay for it?

I could just repeat what others said or simply write:

    we hate curse client::

If at least the curseclient had all the addons thatWAU had it might be ok, but really, it has like one tenth of the addons :
    - most of the librarys have been integrated to the addon (which sucks)
    - on the 104 addons I have, Curse knows 13 (OMG)
    - the curse client is messy and complicated to understand for some
Really, WAU should be available again.

I'm certain the powers that be have heard this 10000x already, but I'll say it for my own sake then. Why couldn't we, if we have to lose WAU, at least have gotten a replacement that has similar functionality and ease of use. Honestly... I have never seen a sucessful scenario of: OK, so your Porsche is no longer available, but here's a Lada..take it or leave it... Really guys the curse client is messy, ugly, uninformative, unresponsive and just plain fail compared to WAU.
