450 - Message History Not Recording (I think) RP Realms
What is the expected output? What do you see instead? To have WIM record characters from Roleplaying realms appear in the message history like everyone else. Instead they are not logged at all, despite still being able to communicate with them.
What version of the product are you using? 3.7.7
Do you have an error log of what happened? I do not.
Please provide any additional information below.
I often use WIM as simply a means to record conversations, but recently I have noticed something strange. All my conversations with friends on RP servers do not appear at all. I've tried to troubleshoot it myself by testing who is and is not recorded. Everything works as expected EXCEPT when I send or receive messages from characters on RP servers. I play on a PvP server, but have no issues receiving messages from PvP or PvE servers.
I've tested it by having off server friends have their guildies and friends message me, having friends make level ones off server to message me, and through battletag.
Servers that worked: Darkspear, Cairne, Coilfang, Stormrage, and Sargeras
Servers that did NOT work: Scarlet Crusade, Wyrmrest Accord, and Moon Guard.
Under WIM's Chat history settings I have everything enabled (Guild, party, raid, say, ect) , along with everything enabled in History (record friends, guildies, everyone, ect). I have tried reinstalling the addon and deleting all the saved variables, but the problem still persists. After making a trial account on Scarlet Crusade and making sure the settings were the same, the trial account could record the messages coming from me, but not the other way around. Both characters were on the same machine, running the same addons, with the same addon configurations. Any idea what could be causing this? Is it a server issue? Thanks!
