    the offending code would be this

    local dropdown = CreateFrame("Frame")
    dropdown.displayMode = "MENU"
    dropdown.initialize = generateMenu

            clicked_zone = mapFile
            clicked_coord = coord

    Using
    dropdown.displayMode = nil

    Should resolve it.
