218 - Support for Aurora

What new feature or behaviour do you think would improve SavedInstances?

Support for letting Aurora (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info18589-Aurora.html) manage the frame and backdrop of SavedInstances. The Aurora API seems fairly easy to implement support for.

    I don't plan to implement any significant support directly in SI for particular skinning addons.

    SavedInstances already has a generic place for skinning addons to write customizations:

    -- skinning support
-- skinning addons should hook this function, eg:
--   hooksecurefunc(SavedInstances,"SkinFrame",function(self,frame,name) frame:SetWhatever() end)
function SavedInstances:SkinFrame(frame,name)

    if you want to write a separately-distributed module for Aurora that hooks this function, go for it.

    Alternatively if you want to contribute a SMALL amount of skinning code (no more than say 15 lines) to call into Aurora similar to how we currently call Elv/Tuk, I'd consider merging that.

    Author/Maintainer of SavedInstances, RaidBuffStatus, Archaeology Helper, Avengers Nemesis Groups, IdiotCheck, and others..
