  I have seen this happen but no idea why. Every time was fighting koragh or imp heroic.

  Okay, it happened again just now. So this screenshot shows the versions of those with recounts in the raid and we can say it isn't the fault of an old version. I didn't turn off sync for this one though. I'll turn it off for 2-3 days and see if it happens again.

  Edit: Was running back to the raid when I died during Twin Ogrons in 3rd screenshot. Then they pulled the twins OOC.

  Edit: Forgot to add that I have advanced combat logging turned on because I upload logs to Warcraft Logs as it's their requirement for ranked logs. Does it affect the issue?

  Gonna test this myself too, but if you could disable sync in "Game Menu/Interface/AddOns/Recount", and test if it's happens with it or not that could help.

  Uploaded a second screenshot with the tooltip shown. As you can see the top dmg isn't including the erroneous damage (15m dmg). Different Mage this time.

  That came out of nowhere when I pulled the last trash of Slag Mines, so either it's a sync issue or the new recount is weirding out somewhere due to the Koragh fix. I haven't checked if he's using an older version of recount. I will post a few more screenshots showing the dmg tooltip, the dmg breakdown and the recount versions of the raid/party if it happens again.

  Probably a sync from the mage who didn't reset his Recount for a long time?

  Posting what ability Recount reported as causing the damage would be very helpful, I'm sure.
