630 - Performance Issues on Heroic 25 Man Dragon Soul Bosses

Description
On Ultraxion 25HC and YorSashj 25HC my FPS Drop down to about 0-10 with Recount enabled. Without Recount my FPS never drops under 100 FPS on 1920x1280.

Dracula Jan 22, 2012 at 19:47 UTC - 0 likesJust saying that switching to Skada resolved the fps issues totally. Same (quad-core) pc, same boss-fight, same graphics settings, different addon, better framerate... I think it's safe to conclude what was really straining the CPU.

Elsia Jan 06, 2012 at 15:45 UTC - 0 likesBlizzard themselves acknowledged performance issues on Ultraxion-25 and have made improvements. Here is the entry from blizzard's hotfix:
"Ultraxion
Essence of Dreams should strain CPUs less in 25-player raids. This buff will now activate once per second for each healer who has the buff, and the healing done by the effect will equal the amount of health healed by the healer within that one second window."
Of course very old system can still be CPU limited, but that again is not a recount issue, but a load issue, and in fact any addon running on a CPU capped system will degrade frame rate.

Dracula Dec 30, 2011 at 19:31 UTC - 0 likesI can confirm this. Ultraxion-25 is unplayable when the boss gets around the 30% mark and we activate bloodlust; framerate drops down to 1 fps!
Last raid I deactivated just Recount, and framerate was stable the whole fight.
Our raiders with Skada do not have any fps issues.
