599 - Recount not properly counting Warlock DPS
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Turn off "merge" pet with character
2.Count up all the different pets' dps/damage and character dps/damage
3.Compare it to total dps/damage with merge on.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would expect the two figures to be at least close; in many cases they are not, they are 1,000s off.
What version of the product are you using?
Latest version from Curse.
Do you have an error log of what happened?
I do not; I simply did the counts myself but I did them many times.
Please provide any additional information below.
I am not talking about the pet mouse-over damage report. That is not relevant. I am talking about the accurate reporting of Warlock dps and damage. It seems to be a problem where when a new pet comes out (e.g., one of the imps, the Doomguard), recount is not continuing to add up all the pets damage with the character. I have seen this reported before, particularly with t12 gear. I don't think it has been resolved.

For me Recount also records only half the damage done. i have tested this on a 3Mil hp direhorn. recount only records 1.5Mil hp damage done upon the death of the direhorn. Spec: demo warlock. using felguard and impswarm. skada records the damage correctly. recount seems to record half the damage. and half the dps. The instant damage graph appears to be correct but the recorded damage/dps is halved.

Abrawarlock Nov 26, 2011 at 02:25 UTC - 0 likesSo, clearly, no one has the bandwidth to deal with tickets. This is sad as recount is used by almost everyone to judge player participation. So, when it doesn't work, it can have difficult consequences on a player.
