What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. With recount active, my framerate starts to drop, and it will eventually degrade to less than 1 FPS. /console reloadui alleviates the problem for awhile but I have to preform one every few minutes when recount is active.
2. Disabling the addon resolves the issue. This is not a "slow computer" issue. I recently upgraded my PC and my typical FPS is around 100. I narrowed the problem down to recount by disabling addons individually until the problem went away.

Do you have an error log of what happened?
There are no error messages visible, the only thing that I noticed (aside from the lag) was that the screen would freeze momentarily during death animations, then unfreeze after the NPC or player was dead on the ground. The issue is more prevalent in group situations where lots of deaths occur. BGs were absolutely unplayable with the addon active for this reason.

Edit: update to latest version fo recount and enabled on one of my alts for testing, and the problem is still apparent.
