Order of Battle

Table of Contents

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

Order of Battle is a raid assignments planner mostly targeted for boss encounters but possibly useful in other contexts as well. You create assignment templates and then drag and drop people on them to assign specific jobs for everyone. Finally you can send the assignments to raid chat or some other channel.

Dude thank you so much, this is a awsome addon. cant tell you how much it helps out in raids. can set up assignemtn as raid is forming so no down time when we get to bosses.

Sorry it took so long to fix that. Haven't paid much attention to this mod lately. Sending assignments to raid warning should work now.

Having same problem Crazytoo, not able to use the Raid Warning option under assignment frame. Everything else works great. This addon is awesome dude and helps out greatly in the running of raids.

I spent a long time looking around for a good assignment mod for raid leading and this is pretty much exactly what I'd diagrammed on our guild forum so great work.

I'd really like the ability to sync plans and assignments with other officers, though. I don't know how hard that would be to program in but it would help a lot.

I get some strange graphical issues with this.

Basically, if I drag someone to a box but don't get them in it exactly, then their name box sits there but I can't interact with it.

Can't drag it nor can I clear it off the screen.

This is a real pain when I don't get the name box exactly in an assignment box because now I can't see the assignment box.

I'm unable to reproduce the error with dragging. Could you enable lua errors in the interface options/help menu and PM me any error messages you might get. Or anyone else for that matter who has the same problem.

The new update (that allows you to not have to hit the input box exactly) is messing up for me - if i get close sometimes it will put it in th eboss other times it gets stuck half in and half out and i cant grab that person name again

great addon and great response to my first comment.

i spent an hour creating a template on one toon then found out that i could not access that template on another toon (same realm both horde), any ways to fix this?

Order of Battle uses same profile system as most Ace based addons. On normal settings each of your characters has a profile of their own which means that when you change plans or templates of one character they won't affect any other characters.

You can change this in interface options, addons tab, and select Order Of Battle. Then go to profiles. You can change all of your characters to use the same profile, then all should always have same plans and templates. Or you can keep using separate profiles but copy settings from one profile to another.

Thanks - this is the exact addon i have been looking for since in our guild we assign healers (pallies escpecially) and we assign who is in Kings buff - this addon allows a person to have each toon assigned to more then "duty" which it was has been missign in all other addon of this time.

Should be now usable in a party as well. Though I imagine this be much more useful in raids when it's hard to keep track of who's doing what. But great if you find it useful in 5-man groups as well.
