43 - Pseudo "Dead Spots" from Overlay List
The Problem: Usually, when I mouse over the Large Map (CTRL+M) the color-coded Overlay List displays at the bottom of the screen. However, when the list is not in use, it is in a mode that creates a "dead spot" on the screen (an area where you'd normally click to move your toon with the mouse, or where you'd click on an icon or the Accept button for a quest, but for some reason cannot click in game. This zone works fine when out of game). The "dead spot" exists because the Overlay list is in "hide mode" but is still active or present on the screen.
The Band-aid: The way to remove the "dead spot" is to move the list to an area of the screen where you would not normally click. I move mine to the top of the screen. I just have to remember to do this for each toon.
I would expect that when the Overlay List is not in use, that it would be OFF. But now that I think of it, if it's off, when I mouse over the minimap, the list won't display. So that's only half of a solution.
