24 - Search feature needs help!

What is the enhancement in mind? How should it look and feel?

Presently you must type in the full name of the item in order for the search feature to find it.  E.g., "winter boots,"  instead of being able to type "winter" or "boots" and find either the exact item or a selection of items with common terms.  Search would be much more useful if it keyed on partial words, names, items, etc.

Please provide any additional information below.

If you can find a way to reproduce the behavior in a way that I can also reproduce it, and it doesn't happen with the Blizzard UI. Great. Send me the steps.

I use ARL myself, and haven't seen this behavior or anything else like it. I can bring up my Alchemy, search for "Gold" and get everything that uses Goldclover, filtering down the list as I type.

The filtering is done by the client (i.e. Blizz's code), so if there is something wrong with it not picking up a specific item from the list that should be there (but it finds most or all others as you type), then the bug is very likely on Blizzard's end. I just feed the text over the wall as the user types and get the updated list from Blizz's APIs.

I don't implement my own search in any way shape or form, because of how robust Blizz's search really is.

I have again tried the search feature from the "all" list and still am getting errant behavior. I don't have any other tradeskill addons except for Ackis.

Additional: I've confirmed the behavior is correct.

Partial words, names, reagents, etc, etc, all work, including required level searches. If it works in the original UI, it works in MrTrader.

    Closing the bug.

Search does already do this. In fact, it uses the exact same API to filter the list that the official UI does. Anything possible in the official UI is possible in MrTrader.

The catch is that the search only works on the current list of items you have. So if "Winter" isn't found in say, "Difficulty > Optimal", then you will get zero hits.
