MalygosStacks

Table of Contents

A simple display for your stack of Engulf in Flames on Malygos in phase three. I was unhappy with other mods available so yet another Malygos addon was born!

Big stack count number in the middle, combo points on the bottom of the frame shamelessly ripped from PitBull_ComboPoints, expiration time underneath and the background changes transparency based on your energy (solid at 50).

There is no configuration, you will just see a movable frame once you are on your drake.

If you disconnect or reload ui or just end up on a drake with no stack count frame, you can type /malygosstacks to force an addon load and/or vehicle check. Someone asked me about it, so here it is.

I haven't tried this addon, but I like the the looks of it. I see a future for this addon. Is it possible to make an addon like this to keep track of other stacking buffs on multiple bosses?
I was thinking of maybe a simple config on it. Scale and moveable frame. Some sort of name input for debuffs/buffs. So that it shows other stacks aswell.
Pyrite on FL, Signed on Hodir and ofc Engulf on Maly.
Or simply show if CoE or Ebon plague is on the target.

I'm a noob on addons and have no clue how hard this is. I know I been searching for such an addon I mentioned. But haven't found anything close yet. Just a frame that only shows choosen buffs/debuffs and stack/time left.

I don't think I'll do much more with this as there are plenty of robust debuff/buff monitors available already. I'd suggest playing with Auracle (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/auracle.aspx) or TellMeWhen (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/tellmewhen.aspx) for something more configurable :p

Hmm... I just tried it with the daily, but the window didn´t show... Is there anything I could do wrong?

thats confusing ... because MalygosHelper works in the fight with malygos AND outside with the daily ... maybe because of the AceLocale libary ...

on your and my screen , different names of the vehicle/drake ...
yours infight , my from the daily ... same skills , sometimes we must hate blizzard for this ;)

@nebula169 : maybe you should really switch over to the AceLocale lib, it may be possible to avoid this with the lib

i tested something ... and just edited the locale with an additional line
it now looks :

if GetLocale() == "deDE" then
vehicleName = "Himmelsklaue von Wyrmruh"
vehicleName = "Himmelsklaue des Wyrmruhtempels"

it works with the daily , but i cant test it until sunday evening in the malygos fight if it works in phase3 too..
if anyone can test it before i can it, feel free to do it ;)

Removed the need for localization and included the guid for both drakes so it should work fine in both cases under all clients now.

Let me know if it doesn't, heh.

are you really sure that the vehicle name in DE is Himmelsklaue von Wyrmruh ?
i tested now the r11 from the Curseclient , and it stopped working...

to show you the tooltip from the name , here is a screenshot i made :

look at the right side...

if i change the name to that, in the quest it is working...
but only ONE problem is happen , in the malygos fight, the mod DOES NOT start after you GO inside (like a similar mod MalygosHelper , which is also found here) , as you know, in_combat starts isnt longer possible , so the icon does not show up in phase 3 ...

maybe you should think to switch over to the ace-locale lib ... which is also used by the MalygosHelper Mod ..

You should change the german translation to :

Thanks Thurraz, I'll tag a new version once I get a few more translations confirmed. http://www.wowace.com/projects/malygosstacks/ will have all the incremental changes until then.
