Am I locked out?

Ailo Tooltip #3

Little addon which saves me quite some time with all my twinks.

What it does

Rembers which of your chars are saved to which instance.

  • Weekly raid quest (Dalaran quest) [Will updated once there are Cataclysm versions]
  • Every Instance that gives you a SavedInstanceID is trackable!
  • 7x Daily Heroic per week (number represents the amount left on the character)
  • Daily PVP, Tol'Barad Victory
  • 5man heroics (Option to show 5mans in the tooltip is OFF by default)

Updates on login and every time you get the 'You are now saved to this instance'-message, a shift-click on the tooltip forces a manual update. So you don't have to log onto your chars to see if you can join that raid with one of your alts

Currently only a LDB icon:

  • Right click: Brings up the configuration (change tooltip colors, profiles)
  • Left click: Bring up the RaidFrame, Shift-click for manual playerupdate
  • Hovering: Shows a tooltip of all instances. Green = free, Red = locked out (default colors, you can change them)

Config options:

  • Standard Ace3 profile things
  • Change colors of the tooltip
  • Change abbreviations used for instancenames (Ailo tries to get a 'first char of every word'-type, but that is kinda hard if you have a locale which relies heavy on utf-8 chars)

Scrap that idea, I just made Daily Heroic and Raid Weekly each have their on tooltip columns, which are always on the left side etc. Their text is just the amount of emblems: "2 x [icon]"/"5 x [icon]" (vertically)

Expect Raid Weekly tracking in the next release file.
One quests though: How should I represent raidweekly?
I thought about instead of emblem of frost only, also add a number:
2, 5, 7: Just the sum of emblems of frost you got for this day
    Just daily: "2x[emblem]"
    Just weekly: "5x[emblem]"
    daily+weekly: "7x[emblem]"

    ? :o

    to Starfox:

Thanks alot for your response. Also I wonder is it possible to add sorting to the table, i.e. say first come columns of 5ppl, then columns of raids, and in raid columns first come 10ppl subcolumn, then 25ppl subcolumn. Something like that :)

Daily Random Heroic for example has a specific API call which tells you if the current char already did completed it on this day, this does not exist for weekly quests.
So, if for some reason the DB gets reset, there is no way to tell if a char has already done the weekly raid.

Hello! Many thanks for such a great addon, this is the thing I looked hard for.

Is there any possibility to add an option for weekly raid-quests? For example by checking the completing of those quests (if there is API for that) or something like that.

I know you were asked about that at Curse but anyways :)

Introduced a slight change in how player names are saved, this was needed be able to show "Name-Realm" in the tooltip. Sorry that I never thought about multiple characters with the same name on different servers :/

Yea, the function that returns true/false if you have done the quest today does not update on the event I though:
LFG_COMPLETION_REWARD: Fire when you complete a random dungeon, but GetLFGDungeonRewards() still returns the values from the last time you opened(!) the Dungeon Finger!
LFG_UPDATE_RANDOM_INFO: This event when the Dungeon Finder gets updated, but you probably have to open the Dungeon Finder again to trigger it, I'll look into it if I can force it without opening the frame.

Edit: Got it, now when you complete a dungeon (LFG_COMPLETION_REWARD) the client requests an update on the lfg rewards, which fires LFG_UPDATE_RANDOM_INFO where I can then safely use GetLFGDungeonRewards(x) to determine if the daily heroic has been completed.
