Security Statement

You should only install UnitActionBars2 using WowAceUpdater or from ZIP files located at http://files.wowace.com/UnitActionBars2 - this may change in the future if releases are made to popular addon sites like Curse or WoWI, but for now, the only legitimate release platform is the WowAce SVN repository and files.wowace.com.

Both UAB and UAB2 provide

• Unit-specific click-casting.
• Simple and direct click-to-cast (like Clique, Click2Cast, and others).
• Display of multiple actions on a modified click.
• Actions that can be assigned to spells, items, or macros.
• Layout and positioning catered to the unit type (player, party/raid, focus, target, etc.) and/or to the unit frame mod.
• Unit status (buff, debuff, etc.) can affect the display characteristics (low alpha, blinking, highlight border, etc.)
• Different actions for hostile units

What UAB2 provides above and beyond UAB

• Shapeshift form-specific actions
• More than 24 actions per modified click-cast activator
• Layout catered to each action set (when multiple action sets used for a single activator)
• Actions initially shown (instead of hidden) on startup, or UI reload.

Migrating from UAB to UAB2

• Download and install UAB2 just as you would UAB or any other Ace mod.
• There is a UnitActionBars.lua file in your using <WoW directory>/WTF/Account/<Account Name>/SavedVariables directory.
  • Copy this file to UnitActionBars2.lua in the same directory
  • Edit this file (Notepad is fine, it's just a text file), and change any occurrence of UABDB to UAB2DB and any occurrence of UABDebug to UAB2Debug.
• Load WoW, disable UnitActionBars, and enable UnitActionBars2.
  • All UAB configuration should be in place, and the configuration should be migrated to the format expected by UAB2.
