Elemental Precision talent (Shamans)

I guess this would be more suitable for Threat libraries discussion, but anyways I have an elemental shaman with elemental precision. I started wondering why me and a warlock with no threat reducing talents were doing about the same threat per dps according to the threat meter when I noticed that my threat was exactly the same as my damage done, which shouldn't be the case. I was also pulling aggro from range at 144% threat too.

So I looked at the libraries a bit and saw an interesting one in the /Threat-1.0/ClassModules/Shaman.lua It seemed that elemental precision is indeed scripted into the libs, but it just doesn't seem to work. So I went ahead and without any sort of idea how lua scripts work, I changed:

"self.ElementalPrecision = 1.0"

into:

"self.ElementalPrecision = 0.9"

And now my threat is 0.9 x damage done and I'm properly pulling aggro at 130% threat. My edited Threat libraries even seem to be sending my corrected data into other people's Omens too. I was just wondering what could be the reason why Threat-1.0 isn't showing up my real threat in the first place? Menelgor 00:34, 15 August 2007 (EDT)

Multiple Targets

"Unfortunately, this is a major weak point in any threat library. Multiple targets with the same name are indistinguishable in the combat log, so you can't really tell which one to apply threat to. Therefore, all targets with the same name share a threat pool, and will show the same threat value. This is regrettable, but Blizzard has intentionally not provided enough information to distinguish same-named mobs in the combat log. Fortunately, there really aren't any threat-sensitive encounters where there are a lot of mobs of the same name that you need to dance the threat line on."

Wouldn't there be a way to differentiate if there was a raid target on each mob? Like %target:skull ; %target:nipple ; etc... just a thought. unsigned

No, that doesn't work because the raid targets don't appear in the combat log. But with Patch 2.4 there will be a way, because Blizzard will completely change the combat log with that patch. --Cremor 04:52, 20 August 2007 (EDT)

Default Bar Color?

I can't seem to find an option to set this color. I don't see it under the Display>Skin Settings option. So yeah, any hints? Or is this not implemented? -WNxZexion 20:09, 17 September 2007 (EDT)
