TalentMacros
Warlords of Draenor finally introduced a new talent macro conditional!
/cast [talent:4/1] Storm Bolt; [talent:4/2] Shockwave; [talent:4/3] Dragon Roar
This should be enough for most people...
/cast [spec:1,talent:5/1] Nether Tempest; [spec:2,talent:5/1] Living Bomb; [talent:5/2] Unstable Magic; [spec:1,talent:5/3] Supernova; [spec:2,talent:5/3] Blast Wave
...however, as you can see with mages, it can get ugly when factoring in spec specific talents. Imagine if you also want to use a different buff with each talent based on spec, ew.
TalentMacros keeps it simple!
Use /talentmacros
to open the config and create the auto-updating general macros (t1-7 and tpvp1-3) or customize the macro used for each talent. You can put whatever you want for each talent, including another spell, or item, or whatever for passives.
The default macro for every talent is simply:
#showtooltip
/cast talent name
Also supports PvP talents! If you're missing the pvp macros, just hit the "Create Macros" button in the config.
Disabled means the macros are already created
wow.... I knew it. THanks! I used this before but i quit for 8 months, and I didnt even think to look in my macro list.
Hi! Will you update this for Legion?
I'll update the TOC for Legion when it's released, yes. It doesn't appear anything broke in the beta, have I missed something? I suppose I can expand it to include honor talents!
Would you kindly be able to add profiles to this addon to save its information? Ive had to make screenshots of my talentmacros information to be able to rebuild it, like if changing name.
Sure, I didn't think it would be needed but you bring up a valid point
1 issue i face is that this addon doesn't have seperate macros for different spec. eg hunter mm and hunter bm using different spells and i can't macro for both mm and bm for the same tier.
You just use normal macro logic, for example: /cast [spec:1] bm spell; [spec:2] mm spell
oh didn't know i could do that, thanks buddy you are of great help!
I am currently using the addon TalentMacros to autochange specific talents and buttons when my talents are changed. Which is well and good for the first 5 talent rows for Elemental Shamans. It is in row 6 that I find myself in need of an extra autoconverting button.
Nornally I have my 3 button assigned to Lightning bolt, with mod as Elemental Blast or Unleash Elements depending on talent. But where I to use Primal elementalist, I would set the mod to Earth Shock.
Thing is that I already have Earth Shock, with mod as Earthquake set to mouseside button 1 . So what I am looking for is a new macro that looks like the following when Elemental Blast and Unleashed Fury is learned.
/cast [nomod]Earth Shock
/cast [mod]Earthquake
But which only casts Earthquake when Primal Elementalist is learned.
The addon Talentmacros was capable of doing such, but only for one button per tier, which ive already used.
I can think of a tricky/cludgy way to do something like that, but first I'm curious as to why you'd want to sabotage your muscle memory by moving around a core ability? Why not just make 3 only LB with PE and always have ES on the same button?
Ok, i really love this addon HOWEVER theres one big issue with it:
It doesnt have seperate profiles for each char. Ive set up some macros for my rogue and then did the same on the hunter only to realize that the hunter macros overwrote the rogue ones.
Which quite frankly sucks ass :(
It would be awesome if you could "fix" that :)
Macros are saved in a profile per char, so I'm not sure what you did. The actual macro slots are reused as the text is generated on login and if you switch spec or talents. If you want to customize them, you need to do that in the configuration, not the /macro panel.
I see. I noticed that i made a mistake.. i thought that you had to create the macros for each character so it overwrote them.
Nvm... works just fine now :)
This AddOn is a GODSEND.
Exactly what i was looking for! Good job man :)
it would be really nice to have the ability to automatically add "/stopcasting" to these macros :D
/stopcasting is pretty situational and I won't be adding any logic to try and guess when someone might want it, but you can add it yourself easy enough!
Do you know if this will work in conjuntion with BindPad? In that addon you can drag macros from your macro window into BindPad for easy binding... I'd assume it would work!
Anyway thank you so much for this addon. :-)
Will this function with Macro Toolkit?
I'm in love with you. <3
Thank you so much!
