3D portrait not fading with out-of-combat fader #1935

    Issue:

3D portrait is not fading with out-of-combat fader on player frames after P2 patch

    Conditions:

Player and target frames have out-of-combat faders and 3D portraits enabled.  While 3D portrait on target frame fades to 0% alpha, 3D portrait on player frame maintains 100%.

    LUA errors:

    None recorded.

    Work-around:

Removing 3D portrait from player frame or changing portrait to 2D or Class Icon causes proper functioning of the combat fader.  Changing position from Right to Left of the frame does not.  Seems to only be an issue with the 3D.

    Any advice?

I was having this issue on retail and switched over to the normal UI on there.

Now it seems to have surfaced on WotLK with the new Ulduar patch.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Haven't figured out any improvement yet.  Notably, however, I have 3D portrait on my target frames and there are absolutely no issues with the 3D portrait fading there.  Saying that I am an amateur at LUA is an extremely generous overstatement, but I cannot identify anything obvious in the code that would make these behave differently.

Anyone that actually is adept at code analysis able to help?

Just chiming in to say that I am having this issue as well. Works fine on the target frame.

Wanted to give this a bump.  Still having the same problem.  No resolution after installing latest SUF update today.

Wanted to give this a bit of an update.  Using framestack, it appears that it is the SUFUnitplayer.portrait that is failing to fade with the combat fader.  Anyone have a quick code fix that would make this fade when combat fader was set to "out"?  Tried it myself with my painfully poor lua understanding and couldn't get it to work.
