This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.
RollWatcher displays a table of players in your party or raid and how they have rolled on looted items.
For the moment, you must use a data broker display addon such as Fortress; otherwise you won't see the launcher and will have no way of display the RollWatcher window.
As you previously alluded to, I prefer to keep the window up during an instance run hence my window customization suggestions. I tweaked the window layout some to suit my tastes. After making these changes, I have some additional thoughts on window layout options.
1. Allow for background, border, font, and padding customization along with icon and button size options. Scaling of the entire window would still be a nice option.
2. Add anchor points for the window so it grows up/down and left/right when group/raid size changes.
3. Add an option for scrolling of the window (personally I prefer scrolling without scrollbars like Skada for example) to keep the window size fixed. For this to work, the winner should probably be displayed on top.
4. Add an option for the window to automatically appear when in an instance and/or in a group/raid, and provide an option for it to auto disappear when solo.
Great job on this mod. I recommend putting up a screenshot so others can get a better idea on what this mod does. I had to download and test it out to be sure.
I think there may be a bug with the class color for DKs because the name of the one in our group was gray. All other classes in the party were colored correctly.
Here are some suggestions on enhancing the mod:
1. Tighten up the spacing on the watcher window so less screen real estate is needed
2. Add some scaling options for the window
3. It would be nice if the window looked similar to a mod like Recount, Skada, or Omen
I've uploaded a 1.0.2 version fixing the death knight colorization bug. I'll get some screenshots up soon.
You can change the number of item columns and their width in the interface->addons customization; you can scale the width down to 80 pixels from 100 (although I think bad things will happen if any of your raid members' names are too long for 80 pixels in a 12-point font), and the number of items down from two to one. The border spacing might be a little generous (ten pixels between most fields) and I'll think about that. My usage model is popping up the window with the launcher while loot is being rolled on and then hiding it after, but other people may want it up all the time.
