MillHelp

Felweed TT

MillHelp is a simple addon that displays which pigments will be produced when the herb is milled on the herb's tooltip and the herbs needed on the ink tooltips.

Features

  • Show common and uncommon results for pigments (common in white, uncommon in green)
  • If an ink uses common pigments the herbs are shown in white
  • If an ink uses uncommon pigments the herbs are shown in green

If you want to display the "Milling:" heading, type /script MILLHELP_HEADER = true, if later you wish to remove the header type /script MILLHELP_HEADER = nil

These commands change the saved variable for the addon, so the command will set the option until you change it back.

Version 1.2.0

This version adds the ability to query the server for the inks and pigments, which will allow you to have tooltip information right after a patch. And without having to find an inscriptionist. Simply use the new slash command /millhelp and a window will popup. Unsafe links are in teal, right clicking will query the server for the item, adding it to your cache. You might be disconnected if the item hasn't been seen by somebody on the server yet. (Rare chance, but it might happen)

Feedback

Comments, tickets or the forum thread are all great places to suggest features or report bugs. Of the three, replies to comments will be the slowest but I will read them eventually.

Localization

All the strings that need translation are now included in the WoWAce Localization app. Anyone can now finish up translations. If you want to be sure new or corrected translations make it into a release file a ticket too. Otherwise I'll include them whenever I check the page.

    Hi Starinnia

thx for the very fast work on Sifter... it is great... maybe i can request some ideas for MillHelp and Sifter.

How about including levelranks in the tooltip for a herb or an ore which you need to collect ... helpfull if your train a new char or respec an old one, by pointing on replacements that you cant collect yet ;-)

and how about a top 3 or top 5 shown in the tooltip where to gather the required object. Sorted by the most values of the requiered objects in a country (or even all resources)...

    for Example:

    Peacebloom (01)

can be found: Teldrassil (101), Durotar (96), Tirisfal Glades (92), Dun Morogh (84), The Barrens (84)...

Maybe the following links help a bit to solve this, if you agree with my suggestions, ...would be great ;-)

    WOW Head - Herbs

    WOW Head - Ores

    cheers from Germany

Type /millhelp to query the server for the items.

Gebe /millhelp ein, um den Server nach den Items abzufragen!

I'll be starting on a new project called Sifter, which is basically MillHelp for prospecting, pretty soon.

I chose to do "Outland Herbs" and "Northrend Herbs" because that is what Blizzard lists on the pigments. And it was easier for localization purposes to copy Blizzard's standards.

Outlands: Felweed, Dreaming Glory, Terocone, Mana Thistle, Nightmare Vine, Ragveil, Ancient Lichen

Northrend: Goldglover, Tiger Lily, Lichbloom, Deadnettle, Adder's Tongue, Talandra's Rose, Constrictor Grass, Icethorn

I might update the addon to list everything. I'll have to think about it.

This would 1000% nicer if when I hovered over an ink/pigmnet, it showed the actual herb names instead of, "Outland Herbs", or, "Northrend Herbs." Unless I'm missing something. I'm not an herbalist/alchemist, so the herb names aren't second anture to me.
