It will be better to add some profession filter to 'used in' tree.
For example, if my character learned jewelcrafting and minig it would be useful not to display 'used in' tree for other professions.
    Is that real?

Knowing what an item is useful for can help you gauge its value, even if you can't use it yourself. Whether you have friends with different tradeskills, or a guild, or simply want to sell the item to another player, knowing what it's useful for can help you determine who to give it to, how to price it, or if it's even worth it.

But I agree that any filtering options that cut down the sometimes enormous list Mendeleev produces would be good. Perhaps an option for only showing your own tradeskills on either the basic list, or the shift list?

Though actually, if you set the filter above red, you can already filter out anything you don't know. That just means that you won't see anything you could learn in the future either, as well as things that aren't relevant to your current tradeskills.

    Agreed, I mean OPTIONAL filtering.

It would be great to see how I can use item in the future, and will it be useful or not - but only for my professions.
That will help me to know - put item into the Bank or sold by Auction...
