Hm... how long before WowMatrix finds a way to get around this stupidity? I can't wait. I never have before, but you can be damn sure that I'll never click on an ad or affiliate link or any other thing on or Well done! Now I hate you.

Haaaa, memories memories ... That good old WowAceUpdater is gone, but what about resurrecting it ? Curse and Wowace work together now, so there is something to exploit. Just don't forget to create a "safe" tag for safe realeases of libs. I am so fond of no-libs addons, and well organised addons folders ... But now its more and more pain in the ass to keep this organized, up-to-date and compatible.

But so many things remains crappy, partially done, or juste insane ... and then, it sux. Currently for instance Decursive in NoLib looks for a Dewdrop-2.0 version that no one can find (either google and curse). Even the lib provided in the "lib" version is not good. Holy crap ! How can you let something being "release" ?

Don't flame me, i know its rush time for every one in the coding community, but plz, think of it, leave clean code and valuable tags, and do not over-version things that do not need this or that is unfinished.

I was unaware of way WowMatrix was unresponsive to authors, which is disappointing. unfortunately their program was wonderful, and curse updater was terrible. You would think they would have taken a hint. I have just installed the newest Curse updater.. and it is much better than their old client... however again it only recognized about 42 of my 85 addons. It is better... but by no means will i pay for a premium service which offers what Wowmatrix did for free, and did better. (the timing was also... "convenient" good move from a business stand point, shut down WM, replace with mediocre updater with an indefinite "free premium trial") I will stay open to the idea of using curse sub par updater until they charge for it, then i will truly lament the simple quick and easy days of wowmatrix...

I think curse acted pretty dumb in todays corporate internet environment. If someone is doing it better than you, you get them on your team. Your microsoft mentality will be your undoing.

I would have to agree with most other posters here, I HATE CURSE, 90% of the time it either won't run or won't find any addons, WoWInterface can be just as bad sometimes. Why not listen to the people? We want ONE PLACE to get updates, ONE CLICK to get them all, etc, etc. WoWMatix is by far the best at what they do, legal or not, and that is a fact, If you can't beat them JOIN THEM. Why not EVERYONE work as one?

Congratulations, you win by default. While I fully respect what you are trying to do with the Curse Client, the simple truth of the matter is that WoW Matrix has had a better updater than Curse for some time now. I just installed the Curse Client, and it found 4 of my addons out of the 103 in my Addons folder. Every one of those addons is hosted here on Curse. I'll use the Curse Client, but I'll use it sparingly and begrudgingly, mostly because I'm too lazy to visit each addon page individually - I'll use it for the simple reason that there's no real viable alternative out there now. As I said, you win by default. Congratulations again.

Wow - you morons actually think you're going to win this fight! WowMatrix has done nothing wrong, or unethical - they provide a service that works. It your crappy-assed websites and buggy programs that forced me to start writing my own WoW updater client, until WowMatrix came along. I can pretty much guarantee that your software quality is not going to improve any time soon - your spending all your time taking swings at windmills instead of fixing the core problem! HAHAHAHAHA!

The truth is Wow Matrix was and still is the best WOW add on updater by far. I understand they may have done some unethical things but the program was excellent, update all your add ons in one place not to mention it didn't crash all the time, or not find half of your add ons. Instead of fighting them curse/wowInterface et all should come to an agreement to work with them because they got the client right that is for sure, it's way better than curse or wow interface's clients.
