We've posted a story on curse.com explaining what happened in the last few days to cause this downtime, and what we're doing to prevent it ever happening again.
Murphy's law being what it is, luck would have it that our SSL certificates for CurseForge and WowAce expired just as the downtime bagan, on June 23rd. Please rest assured there's no security breach, they are simply certificates that expired at about the worst possible time. We will be updating them on Monday, June 27th.
Update June 27th: The SSL certificates have now been updated.

Though some AddOn authors may have already seen this information, due to the number of authors which were not prepared for a similar change in the 4.1 patch, here are links to information for the 4.2 changes for the COMBAT_LOG_EVENT_UNFILTERED event:

Age of Empires is back and we've got beta keys! This time it's online and with your friends. You can fight friends, co-op, and even build persistent cities.
Closed Beta for Age of Empires Online has been going for a while now, and Gas Powered Games is now ready to open the flood gates exclusively through Curse. Curse had had a chance to check it out at CES 2011 earlier this year, so be sure to check out our coverage.
We're stoked to be able to give you guys this opportunity to check out the game. This is a guaranteed spot in the closed beta, so be sure to get your key as soon as you can.
Initially, the giveaway is going to be limited to Curse Premium members. We'll be opening it up once premium users have had a chance to get ahold of their beta keys.
There's no NDA for this phase of the beta, so feel free to contribute to AOE Wiki if you find information in the game that it's lacking.
Finally, here is the trailer from GamesCon 2010 for you guys to check out.

In honor of this stupendous occasion, we at the WowAce headquarters decided to get a theme commemorating it all ready to go for you all.
We're so glad that we can celebrate this day with you all.
If you're a stickler and want to switch back to the old theme, feel free to go to this URL: http://www.wowace.com/themes/textured-wowace/switch/

The automated process which marked out-of-date projects as inactive after 90 days hasn't functioned in a very long time. It has been fixed, but with the un-intended side-effect of marking as inactive every World of Warcraft project which was released during patch 4.0.1 and 4.0.3 - clearly projects that are still compatible (mostly) and relevant during patch 4.0.6.
Kaelten has undertaken the effort of correcting this, and all erroneously affected projects should have their statuses restored.
Keep in mind that when patch 4.1.x hits the live servers that all projects released under the 4.0.x versions will be eligible for the 90-day inactivity rule.
Ackis Edit: If you're having trouble please take a look at: http://kb.curseforge.com/policy/abandoned-and-inactive-projects/#w-reclaiming-your-abandoned-or-inactive-project
Sorry for the mistake guys/gals.
