Vex Power

11 - Monk Windwalker Tigereye Brew tracking

Hi, I have an interesting suggestion for an addition to this addon. I hope it's not outside of its realm.

Windwalker Monks have a peculiar resource mechanic that seems to be similar to Burning Embers from what I read. It'd be helpful if you looked at these spell links first:

Brewing: Tigereye Brew This is the mechanic I'm talking about.

Tigereye Brew This is the buff gained from the mechanic.

Tigereye Brew This is the ability that consumes the charges.

My suggestion is to add some kind of tracking for how far along you are to your next Tigereye Brew charge, if that's possible. For example: 1/4, 2/4, or 3/4 Chi used. The tricky part is that if you use a 2 Chi ability at 3/4, you'll then be at 1/4 towards your next Brew.
That's mostly why I want this tracking; it's easy to get lost, and I know in the future that I won't want to accidentily waste any Tigereye Brew progress when I'm close to capping at 10 charges.

It's okay if it's too much work for just one spec, but if it's not then I think it'd be a great addition to have.

had time to look into the mechanics, there doesn't seem to be a way to get this information directly from blizz, so I have to write an own tracking function and I currently don't know how to track these, since I can't just count the chi consumed, because other mechanics could interrupt this.

couldn't look into the mechanics the last days, I'm afraid I won't have time for it until the weekend

hi, I won't add an extra bar for this, if that's what you're hoping for. That because this addon is built for only one trackable alternative power for each class and I would have to implement an extra optionpanel just for the configuration of this single effect. But I can try to add the option for the [PowerAltCurrent] and the [PowerAltMax] tags. That way you could print out the values in a textfield. For example: "1 / 4" with "[PowerAltCurrent] / [PowerAltMax]"

I'll look into blizz's tracking mechanics and try to implement it, can't promise it though.
