29 - Transmuting epic gems (alchemy)
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Look up skill level for crafting epic gems with alchemy (440)
2. Be happy you finally reached that and run to your trainer
3. Be disappointed
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The required skill level for the epic gem transmutes is 450, not 440. Also, Cardinal Ruby is only learned after a quest (a quest to transmute five epic gems, to be exact).
What version of the product are you using?
SVN revision 352 with slight modification (see other ticket)
Do you have an error log of what happened?

Dys Dec 15, 2009 at 09:42 UTC - 0 likesThanks for the bug report. Unfortunately, until I find a better solution, the skill level required for recipes will be at best as accurate as my source site: wowhead. I will fix issues as they are brought up. v1.6.2 should have the minimum skill levels for epic gem transmutes fixed.
As for the Cardinal Ruby being taught by a quest: currently TradeskillInfo can only handle recipes that are awarded by quests. I will have to extend it to handle skill taught directly by quests at some point, but I don't have too much time to fix it yet.
I am leaving the ticket open as a reminder for both issues.
