SyncFriends

4 - Not add alts to friends list

What is the enhancement in mind? How should it look and feel?

I do not need my alts added to my friends list.  Seems like no matter what I do, they eventually end all back on there.  I can mark them for removal, but as soon as i log that alt in, they are back to marked for addition.  Especially with the 100 friend limit, I don't need 9% of that taken by me :p

Please provide any additional information below.

Please add and option to toggle off adding alts to the friends list.  Or let me know if I missed some option somewhere.

    Hi.

There is a way, but it's convoluted:

    - mark your alts as "skipping"

    - then, remove them from your friendlist

(and repeat for each alt, which is the annoying bit - what's the point of automating things ?)

The meaning of "skipping" is: "don't auto-add nor auto-delete this friend from my list", which also implies "don't change this state in sync pool until I do so by hand".

The reason why I initially wrote this addon was to synchronize my alt list among my own alts (what laziness makes us do...), which explains the odd behavior you're experiencing: upon entering world, the alt is marked for addition unconditionally (except for the "ignore" rule above).

I think I'll make it conditional in 2 ways:

    - If the alt is not known yet in sync pool, mark it for addition. Otherwise, leave it as it is. This mean you will still have to manually mark your alts for either "ignore" and remove them by hand, or removal and they will be automatically removed from other alt's lists.

    - As you suggested, I'll add a (global-only) option so one won't have to go through each add and mark it for something else than "addition".
