  • How to search in the item name only? - Start your search phrase with exclamation mark: !ink
  • How to search in Auction House? - Alt+Click on shopping list
  • How to retrieve items from bank? - Turn on "Display shopping list at banks"

Hi, Recently I had no time to work on Skillet, but today i sat down and found another nasty code, which probably caused freezes. And good news: my friend had this issue too, so we will test it today and finally give you a working addon :)

Regarding freezing on opening. I've seen a few references lately to interactions between opening/closing headers and TRADE_SKILL_UPDATE events which lead to recursion.

Apparently if you call the API to expand a header, change a filter etc, it causes an update event. There are a lot of modules out there that hook the update event and trigger a rescan.. which causes a huge amount of processing and appears to "freeze" things for a while.

This is compounded by other addons that also hook the update events. The Altoholic/datastore modules have code to avoid this, but it only temporarily deregisters its own update event hooks to reduce the recursion it causes itself.

@Koramiho I think that only option is to do it manualy by entering WTF -> account -> char name -> skillet.lua and change to some normal values :P

    ["tradeSkillLocation_x"] = -20.825021292185, ["tradeSkillLocation_y"] = -20.7856044095154,

I accidentally moved Skillet off screen and can't seem to reposition it. I feel bad for coming here and wasting a comment, but is there a way to reposition at all without dragging?

so yeah recently I've also been freezing up real bad. To the point I crash 90% of the time I open the tradeskill window. Releease version 2.09, i've just noticed a some alpha file i'll give those a shot.

as the game crashes completely I have no bug report or anything else to report I'm afraid, I actually had to disable skillet for the time being.

sorry I cant be of more help.

In addition to the freezing part...

Open Skillet when you have all bankslots and bagslots open.
This will make it freeze too for a bit.

When I open Skillet my results vary.
From freezing the game for * seconds to minutes, or even to the point that I have to force-close the game.
Particularly on my priest with tailoring it tends to crash (r231).
The release version (v2.0.9) also freezes very shortly but doesn't perma-freeze my screen (Windowed mode 1920*1080).

Yossa, it is running so great now. You have done a fantastic job and I thank you very much for your efforts. This addon makes life so much easier. I have eight toons that are maxed on all professions and I use Skillet with my crafting professions, I sell a lot on auctions and make everything I sell. I would go nuts if I had to do all this work without it.
