Skada Damage Meter

Damage mode

Skada is a modular damage meter with various viewing modes. It is inspired mainly by Assessment, but also by Recount.

Skada sports segmented fights and detailed views, while being highly efficient with memory. This is accomplished by aggregating data on fight segments.

Skada is entirely modular. The built-in modes can all be toggled on/off.

Features:

  • Automatic mode switching when entering combat. For example, you can have Threat mode be shown in combat. Skada can switch back after combat ends.
  • Specific fight segments can be kept indefinately.
  • Multiple windows. Each window can be configured fully.
  • Threat mode can warn on high threat.
  • Modes: Damage done, DPS, Threat, Enemy damage done, Enemy damage taken, Healing, Overhealing, Total healing, Absorbs estimated, Damage taken, Dispels, Mana regen, Debuff uptimes, and more.
  • Reports can be done everywhere. For example, you can report a certain player's Debuff uptimes.
  • Summary information for most modes (DPS, HPS, Fails, etc) in a LDB view/minimap button.
  • LDB data feed can show personal/raid DPS or personal threat.
  • Support for SharedMedia and Class Colors.

Skada is very easy to extend, and there are many "plug-in" addons out there that add functionality, such as:

There is a page with API information here.

Usage:

Navigation in Skada is done by "drilling down" to the information you want. You go to a lower level, showing more detailed information, by clicking on it, and you go to a higher level by right-clicking.

The top level is the list of all saved fight segments. The second level is the list of all available data modes, such as Damage Done. The third level is one of these modes. Most modes let you drill down for further details. Some modes have several detailed views. In this case you choose alternate views by holding certain keys pressed while clicking. For example, in Damage mode, you can Shift-click a player to see what enemies the player caused damage to. Tooltips will display how to reach the different views.

You can also use window buttons for selecting fight segment and mode directly.

Scrolling in Skada is done with the mousewheel.

New Skada windows can be created from the configuration screen. Each window can be separately configured. A popular feature is "Mode switching", which lets Skada automatically switch to a specific mode on entering combat.

There is a forum thread for discussion on Skada.

My skada is no longer keeping segments of fight anymore. It either does Total Overall fights (all of them together) or Only the current fight. I can not look at past fights anymore? Deleted and redownloaded anything else i should do?

Fire elemental is still listing as a separate entity of damage when it should be added on to the Shaman's damage.

    Using r309

Sorry about the double ticket; looks like he fixed it so I can't abandon it. :P

When using the blizzard default talent frames, and switching glyphs I receive an error message saying something skada was doing was protected and only available to the default UI. I am not sure what that something is however. Disabling skada fixes the issue. re-enabling it makes the issue return. I am using r306. It is most certainly skada causing this error as I have also tested it with no other addons enabled.

I'm wondering if a measurement that I call rescue could be added. I think it would be important to see the healers that are saving the players close to dying. e.g. How many heals hitting when player is below 20% health. Total healing done sometimes does not paint the true picture of who is performing.

Any chance to getting a fix for shaman's fire ele totem being listed seperately on damage?

Edit: Got bored waiting for a reply, so looked into the code & fixed it myself. Skada.lua in FixPets() before "action.playername = pet.name" at the end of the function added: if (pets[pet.id]) then pet = pets[pet.id]; end

I use tiptac to relocate the tipanchor to topleft of screen - i can not get skada to recognize this location. It goes to bottom-right. If i change tiptac to mouseover anchor skada will anchor to that fine so it leads me to believe that there might be a setting in skada that sets default anchor position.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a way to black list certain healing spells, for example saurfang's Mark of the Fallen Champion?
